Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using SYE Desktop (“the app”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use SYE Desktop. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should review these Terms on your behalf.
3. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use SYE Desktop on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or use the app to build a competing product.
4. What SYE Desktop does
SYE Desktop provides screen temperature adjustment, eye rest reminders, guided eye exercises, and related wellbeing features. The app runs locally on your computer. Features may differ between macOS and Windows (e.g. native gamma vs overlay-based warmth).
5. Eye health content
Eye health tips, the 20-20-20 rule, exercise routines, and related content are for general informational purposes only. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. SYE is not a medical device. If you experience eye pain, vision changes, or persistent headaches, consult a qualified eye care professional.
6. No warranty
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every display or OS version, or that reminders will always appear if system permissions are denied.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of SYE Desktop, including reliance on eye health content or missed reminders.
8. Updates
We may update SYE Desktop or these Terms at any time. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above.
